Graduation Speech

Well, I guess it’s the end f the year. It’s been a long year of projects, homework, and most of all, even more homework. It has been an interesting year to be honest. I’ve gone from being a new kid who knew barely anything about the school to being a weird new kid who knows a bit about the school. Thee have been tons of ups and downs and there were many bumps in between. But, my teachers and friends got me through it. There were many times I thought it would just end there and I would never get through the year, yet I got through all of it without taking a single look back. This year has been exiting, sad, tense, and stressful. But, we all got through it in the end. Right?

Complicated relations.

To be honest, I don’t have many complicated relationships with people. Don’t get me wrong, I have some odd opinions and thoughts about some people but overall, I get along with people if they’re nice to me when I’m nice to them. But, I do have a complicated relationship with some people. My friend Luke for instance. We get along just fine most of the time, but, sometimes we get into debates and arguments about some of our beliefs and opinions. Most of the times they’re little things like whether a video game or fanbase is good or not but sometimes it’s more serious like a debate about politics.

An interesting encounter

“Sir. This is for children only.”

“What do ya mean children only?!?!?” the 30 year old man replied in anger.

“This is a children’s private birthday party room and according to our records, you almost suffocated a baby the last time you came here so you shouldn’t even be here.” the security guard explained.

Just when the 30 year old was about to punch the guard in the face, he realized that  “That was years ago and the restraining order finally expired! Besides, couldn’t you just turn a blind eye for little old me?”

“I’m going to have to ask you to leave.” the guard stated calmly before calling security.

“You just mad your last mistake fool.” the 30 year old grumbled angrily before taking out a plastic samurai sword and swinging it violently at the guard.

“Security!” the guard yelled as two bulky looking men in uniforms attempted to subdue the 30 year old.

“Y-You’ll never catch me alive!!!” the 30 year old stuttered as he poked one of the uniformed men in the eye. Suddenly, the other man in uniform knocked the 30 year old out with a fire extinguisher.

“Thanks guys, but I think you should get out of here before someone calls the cops.” the guard cautioned.

“No problem.” one of the men in uniforms said before leaving the establishment. Who knew that a 30 year old man would try to barge into a 9 year old’s birthday party?

Valentines Day

Dear Xbox One,

How do I love thee?

Let me count the ways

I love the way you make me procrastinate.

I love the way you make me stay up at night.

I love the way you make me forget to do homework.

I love the way you remind me when a new game downloads.

I love the way you sign out of my account in the middle of a game.

From the darkest moments to my most hype filled games.

I could never forget the way I fall asleep while playing a game.

Having fun? Not without you.

(I bet at least half of everyone else with a console did something like this.)

A blast from the past

From what i hear, the life I live now is way different from how my parents and my grandparents lived back then. For instance, my mom, aunt, and uncle went outside way more often than I do. They would go to their friend’s houses, play sports, or they would just ride their bikes around the neighborhood. My mom even told me that my great grandma even played outside without her parents when she was 4! She would go onto the bus with her friends and pay the driver with buttons to go somewhere! And here I am just chilling out inside making sandwiches, playing video games, and watching Netflix. All in all, My parents lived a way more active lifestyle than I did when they were my age.

A tribute to my mom

My mom has been here since I was born (obviously). She is a great cook and an even greater parent. She was born with two other siblings and great (and strict) parents. She tells me that she always used to play Nintendo games when she was younger and she went outside with her friends many times. And sure, she might be a bit harsh or strict sometimes, but, she is a great person overall. When I was a kid, I have many fond memories of us walking in the city and her getting me out of trouble. Some of them I want to relive, and others, not so much. But, she is a great mother and I hope to spend as much time with her as I possibly can and to make many new memories.

Thanks for the dinner!

Everyone has a favorite place to eat. Some like to dine at restaurants, while others like to eat at home. People especially like to dine during the holidays!  Me, my mom, my stepdad and my sister love to visit my stepdad’s family and eat at his sister’s house for thanksgiving! They always make the greatest food over there and the pies are even better! There’s also an added bonus of getting to play with the dogs and cats that roam the house. Anyways, my favorite food that they make is the mashed potatoes! They always manage to fill me up!

There’s this one funny story where I was walking over to my table after getting a slice of pumpkin pie with a bit of whipped cream when my step aunt came out of nowhere and filed my plate with whipped cream! Luckily, I love whipped cream and I wasn’t disappointed.

Thankfulness

This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for my family and how loving and understanding they are for me and my sister. I’m also thankful for the places I was able to visit with my family such as Memphis, St. Louis, and other great places! I have very fond memories of the places I’ve went to and I’m thankful that I got to go to those places with my family! The most important thing I’m thankful for, is everyone I’ve met so far and the people I will meet in the future.

About me

About Me: Hey, I’m River. I really like to draw and I’m an aspiring cartoonist! I spend my free time browsing reddit, listening to music, drawing, and playing on my Xbox one. Now, you may be wondering, WHAT GAMES DO I LIKE?!? Well, I like Battlefield 1, which I keep telling Mrs, Joyner about in hopes that she’ll show us a video of it since we’re learning about World War 1, Fallout New Vegas, Prison Architect, Minecraft (Even though I don’t talk about it since it has gained a bad reputation over the years due to bratty kids), and many more! Anyway, the school I go to is [REDACTED], my home address is [REDACTED], and my mom’s credit card number and expiration date is [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. I don’t know what else to put in here so heres a picture of Danny Devito eating an egg
